Station Hand
We currently have an opening for a capable, enthusiastic and experienced station hand to join our team.
As our mustering is done with horses, we need our stock handling staff to be competent horsemen and women. Duties include mustering, animal husbandry (branding, dipping, weaning, tick treatments, vaccinations, etc) feeding livestock, yard work, fencing and general maintenance and repairs.
Santa, Hereford and Angus breeds make up the majority of our cattle bloodlines, and we pride ourselves on educating young cattle to be quiet to handle.
The successful applicant must be honest, reliable and clean as well as being comfortable and confident working and living independently .
A current, valid drivers license and your own vehicle is necessary. MR category or higher desirable, but not essential.
The salary package consists of a regular wage, reflecting your experience and capability, combined with permanent on farm air conditioned accommodation - including electricity & internet connection - in a two bedroom cottage on "Charvel", approximately 16km from the township of Theodore Qld.
Applications to be made via email, including a cover letter, your resume and the inclusion of at least two telephone referees.
