WE CURRENTLY HAVE A VACANCY FOR A GENERAL STATIONHAND
As our mustering is done with horses, we need our stock handling staff to be competent horsemen and women. Duties include mustering, animal husbandry, feeding livestock, yard work, fencing and general maintenance and repairs.
Duties include operating tractors with a range of implements and a variety of machinery, related to broad acre cropping, irrigation and hay making. Applicants must posses at least basic understanding of machinery, and general repair and maintenance tasks.
For all positions, experience in the areas of work described is desirable, but not as important as a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
A current, valid drivers license and your own vehicle is necessary.
The salary package consists of award wages (with the potential of an increase for great job performance) as well as permanent accommodation - including electricity and unlimited wireless NBN internet - in a cottage shared with one other staff member. The award wage for a Station Hand increases with experience, and can be accessed on the Australian Government Fair Work webpage.
At the moment, we are unable to accommodate dogs - neither working dogs nor pets. Successful applicants could bring one or two horses (no stallions)
Applications to be made via email, including a cover letter, your resume, your social media profiles and the inclusion of three telephone referees.
